I cant recommend this school more. You get to learn a wide variety of dental assisting subjects, making it a very diverse course! I feel confident I can go into any dental office, wether it be surgery, or a kids office. (I even had my first interview at a periodontal office while attending school thanks to Mrs. Becky.) Mrs. Becky is a real thorough teacher and makes sure you really understand what she’s teaching. She offers online videos to watch over and over, so you can always go back and watch the procedure again if you are unsure. Also she is a very kind, compassionate teacher who has helped me in my personal life, as I am pregnant currently and have a toddler at home, she’s very accommodating. The best school I have attended! I’ve learned a lot and Mrs. Becky and Alexis are awesome! They explain everything and are always there to help you when you’re stuck. You get taught how to do procedures the newer and improved way and also the old fashioned way just to prepare you and to know what to expect. I was recommended by one of Becky’s first students, and it’s tough to find the words to describe how grateful I am to enroll into this program. Becky and her assistant Alexis are experienced dental assistants that teach you both old/new ways of doing things, what doctors look for, pretty much EVERYTHING, all the skills that you need to acquire to become the best dental assistant! My decision to complete WCCODA’s program was absolutely great. Becky and Alexis are the most caring and supportive instructors who were always willing to answer my many questions. I wish I could give more stars! I highly recommend this school to anyone who is wanting to pursue a career as a dental assistant. It is so worth it. I commuted an hour each way just because of how great of a school I found it to be! Becky and Alexis were amazing instructors. From start to finish, everything was so organized, the instructors definitely put a lot of time and effort into the curriculum and we were even taught expanded functions. Plus classes were small in size so everything was very hands-on and learning was easy-I’m actually going to miss going to class. Becky has so many payment options making it super affordable for anyone to attend. So if you’re thinking about enrolling-just do it. Most of my classmates had jobs or interviews before graduation. Best decision I ever made! Becky makes this program tangible for EVERYONE! My class had students from different backgrounds, countries, age groups, moms working full time, recent high school grads, and myself. I have been out of high school for 16 years, completed some college but never felt passionate about anything enough to really go after it. After a recent divorce and reality check, I decided it was time to get a real career that would support me until retirement. I was reluctant to pursue this school because it seemed too good to be true. Affordable, fast and great reviews…what’s the catch? THERE ISN’T ONE! After taking a casual tour with Becky she convinced me that I would be successful even with my fear of the dentist, having had a hard time in school when I was younger, working full time and having no experience in dental. She was right! We have reading assignments with light homework, terminology tests every week and a final at the end of each unit. It was a lot of condensed learning but extremely manageable even working full time. The classes are small and relaxed. The lab is fun and informative. Working on your class mates in the first week is a great ice breaker and hilarious! We graduate in a week and already have jobs in dental offices. This program is curriculum. Becky makes it into a passion. Don’t go anywhere else, because you won’t get the heart from anyone else! Her passion is infectious and I am so grateful for her. Take a tour!

I recently graduated from WCCODA! Woo! This school has been amazing and Becky is one of the best teachers I have ever had! Becky is always encouraging and wants us to be as prepared as we can when we enter the workforce in our new position as a dental assistant. I love that the classes are small in size (ours had 9 students) which allowed us to have exceptional one-on-one time with the teacher. There is a lot of hands on experience ranging in x-rays, taking impressions, trimming models, making retainers & bleach trays, coronal polishing, sealants, making temporary crowns and bridges, etc! So glad I chose this school!
For starters coming from being a bartender for years I knew it was time to make a change. Dental assisting was never even a thought that crossed my mind but then I did some research and West Coast Collage of dental popped up! With great reviews and quick responses. I set up a tour just to check it out.
The second I met Becky in person I just loved her personality and was able to see the passion for teaching Dental Assisting radiate from her while talking about her program. I knew it. It was meant to be. I signed up for the classes 6 months in advance!
Becky set this school up for people like me that learn hands on, not just from books. As I anticipated for months for school to start it finally did. Day 1 we were in the back room DOING things, not just reading a book! I was shocked and so excited! Now that’s what I’m talking about! Becky even has an app that students can download and study all the test on! It seriously saved my life! Laying in bed, at work, doing cardio... I was able to study at any moment. No other school has ever offered that.
As time has gone by school is now almost completed and i just started to apply for jobs, I have already had multiple call backs and interviews. My peers also have already been working in a dental Office for weeks even before graduation!
Over all, if your a hands on learner, looking for an amazing teacher that CARES about your education and want to get into dental I would highly suggest West Coast Collage of Dental. You won’t be disappointed.

I didn't know what I wanted to do after high school, but after going to this school, I can definitely say that it was the best decision I ever made. Fantastic opportunities at this school! I signed up for 2016 summer course and have been able to enjoy 4 months of hands on training and an extremely knowledgeable instructor, the lovable Becky. I love how this school is VERY hands on, you start taking X-rays the first day and coronal polish the 3rd day! I also really like how it's a small class size of 10 students max, so it's very easy to learn and it's very one on one. This school is like you're working in an actual dental office, we get to work on each other and get to invite friends and family to work on as well. So you get the experience of how to work in a real mouth and not just the fake dummy mouths. Becky, the instructor is awesome! I went into this program after high school and after spending a few years in community college trying to figure out what I wanted to do. I found WCCODA online and what first attracted me was the shorter length of time than Pima or Lake WA. Becky is AMAZING and so committed to her students and was so encouraging and helpful through the program. The flow was really nice and the timing of units were perfect because I felt comfortable with each unit at the end before we moved on. She was very accommodating and really made it so that everyone understood what was going on. She has also been helpful after school! This has been, by far, the best educational experience I've ever had. It's super hands on and teaches you how to operate in an actual dental office. There is minimal book work and lecture time. And even when there are lectures, they point out exactly the information you need to know for the upcoming tests. Becky, the instructor is amazing at what she does. I Can't Say Enough Good Things About Miss Becky!
I learned more from her than I did in twice the time from my other instructors or teachers combined. She really took the time to explain every subject and procedure. She also always checked for understanding and diligently worked with each student, until they were able to be signed off with an excellent grade. She was able to teach the program and blend it effectively with her real world dental assisting experience. This allowed her students to enter their first jobs with better skills and the confidence to shine. I have since moved to S. California and I'm continuing my education to take the state test and practical's & become an RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) and additionally testing to specialize as an Orthodontic Assistant.
I'm a mother of four teen daughters and had not been a student in well over 20 years. I had previously managed businesses with large and small staffs, nevertheless, I was nervous and unsure of myself. This was all new and out of my comfort zone. She made me feel confident in my abilities and at ease with all that was new. Her overall teaching style allowed me to worry less, retain more, and learn so well, that I was able to help work with other students when they were new and struggling. There is no doubt that Miss Becky loves the Dental Field, loves teaching it to others, and that her goal everyday is for every student to succeed and reach their goal!
